Dr. Aaron Hesla was born and raised in Calgary and has been practicing optometry in his home city since graduating from the University of Waterloo in 2006. Dr. Hesla has a special interest in pediatrics, myopia control, dry eye therapy, glaucoma management and multi-focal contact lenses.
Dr. Hesla takes pride in providing professional, kind, and compassionate care, and his priority each day is to provide every patient with a thorough eye exam and a detailed explanation of any relevant eye conditions. Dr. Hesla’s problem-solving skills help him find the best solutions for each patient and he loves a good clinical challenge.
When Dr. Hesla is not working, he is an avid sports fan who enjoys hockey, golf and coaching his two boys in minor hockey. Dr. Hesla also enjoys travelling and learning about other cultures, and previously provided patient care in Tanzania, Africa during an eye care mission.
