DIGITAL RETINAL PHOTOGRAPHS:

The retina is a layer in the back of your eye that acts like the film in a camera.

Diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal tears or detachments, as well as other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure, can cause changes to the retina.

During a comprehensive eye examination, retinal photos allow the optometrist to permanently document what they see so that they can monitor for changes that may indicate problems.

VISUAL FIELD ANALYZER:

This tool assesses peripheral or side vision and can help in the detection of various ocular and neurological abnormalities such as stroke, glaucoma and tumours.

At Mayfair Eye Care, we use a screening instrument to assess all patients over 15 years of age.

This instrument is a standard test used to assess patients with glaucoma and assists in monitoring the progression of the disease and effectiveness of treatment.
